Benefits
More nutritious than refined white sugar and a suitable substitute sweetener, jaggery may also offer several health benefits. These may include improved digestive health and liver detoxification.
Ingredients
Jaggery is made using traditional methods of pressing and distilling palm or cane juice. It involves 3 stages:
a) Extraction
: The Sugarcane is pressed to extract the sweet juice or sap.
b) Clarification
: The juice is allowed to stand in large containers so that any sediment settles to the bottom. It is then strained to produce a clear liquid.
c) Concentration
: The juice is placed in a very large, flat-bottomed pan and boiled.
During this process, the jaggery is stirred, and the impurities are skimmed off the top until only a yellow, dough-like paste remains.
Storage conditions
WWe store our jaggery Products in air tight Boxes by covering it in Parchment papers. Also, environmnet is controlled by parameters which include temperature controlling devices, humidity, air pressure, airflow, cleanliness, and even light and gas levels are also controlled by certain particular devices.
